Electroplankton for DSi Ware in Japan

Nintendo continues to pump new and innovative titles into the DSiWare platform this week with the announcement that Electroplankton is making it's way onto the Japanese service sometime this week. The game, which previously made its way out onto the DS as a full fledged game a few years back, will come in a total of 10 downloads, each costing 200 Nintendo Points. Each individual download will consist of one of the "plankton" instruments from the game.

Scheduled for release tomorrow are the instruments Tracy, Hanenbon, Nanocarp, and Beatnes. Rec Rec and Lumiloop are scheduled to be released next week on the 22nd, and Sun Animalcule, Luminaria, Marine Snow, and Volvoice will finally be available sometime in August.

Next No More Heroes Wont be for the Wii

For those of you hoping to get an HD version of No More Heroes; your chance may come. During a recent interview with "Edge Magazine" Suda51, creator of the series, said that he would really like to carry on with the franchise, and that when he began production on the game, he thought to himself
"I really want to make NMH a big franchise, and with this second episode have bigger success."
He also reveled that his future for the series may not be the future that everybody else is currently thinking. Suda revealed that, should the series continue past the upcoming "Desperate Struggle", it may not necessarily take place on the Wii.
"I think this is the last NMH that is going to be developed on Wii. To expand NMH to new possibilities, we need a new platform. Wii is a great platform, but we've done everything we can with it now."
As much as series fans could be potentially disheartened by these comments, it is something that holds a lot of truth. As of now, Suda has brought a fun, yet hardcore/mainstream/adult/super-violent game to the Wii that has taken full advantage of the technology provided by it. Where can he go next? To the Wii MotionPlus? Suda has stated that he would like to integrate the Wii MotionPlus peripheral into combat, but no word has been given since then on whether the game will support it or not. Recent comments from Suda suggest that he's looking toward the Natal-enhanced Xbox 360 for at least one future project -- and No More Heroes was originally planned as a 360 game. Perhaps he's realized that charging Travis Touchdown's beam saber could be made even more embarrassing without a Wiimote prop. Sources: Joystiq | Edge
