I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY WII
’S THAT GET BRICKED DURING THE PROCESS. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!
All the files you require are contained in the zip file with the possible exception of the IOS16 - but thats also around if you edit the download filename.ALTERNATIVELY you can use the IOS15toIOS16patcher in this zip to patch a copy of IOS15 extracted from a game iso (using wiiscrubber) from IOS15 to IOS16,
therefore bypassing the need to download "Wii Backup
Step 1 Lets assume you have already updated your Wii
Step 2 Install the ‘Homebrew Channel’ onto your Wii
Step 3 Put the contents of this zip onto your SD Card.
Step 4 Using the ‘Homebrew Channel’, open ‘WAD Manager 3’.
Step 5 Press ‘A’ on the WiiMote once. The Wii
WADs on the SD Card. Use the ‘D-Pad’ to select ‘IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad’.
Press the ’+’ to install the WAD. Once it has installed the WAD, press the ‘Home’ button to restart you Wii.
Step 6 Using the ‘Homebrew Channel’, open ‘Custom WM’. Now using the same method as in ‘Step 5’, install the ‘cios_fix.wad’. Once it has installed the WAD, press the ‘Home’ button to restart you Wii.
Step 7 Using the ‘Homebrew Channel’, open ‘IOS Downgrader’. Just follow the instructions and wait until it finishes installing the necessary IOSs.
Step 8 Using the ‘Homebrew Channel’, open ‘Install Shop IOS51’. Say ‘Yes’ to installing the ‘IOS51’ and ‘Yes’ to patching a fix but ‘No’ to the ‘Wii Shop Channel’
(it shouldn’t matter if you install but it won’t make any difference).
Step 9 Using the ‘Homebrew Channel’, open ‘WAD Manager 3’.
Step 10 Now you should be able to install WADs. Try installing the ‘WAD MANAGER V3.wad’ (use this channel to install any WADs in the furture) and ‘Wii Gator.wad’.
Other apps should also work as well such as ‘AnyRegion Changer’.
Optional Step
*************
You can downgrade to 3.2X if you want. Use ‘AnyRegion Changer’ to do that.
Then repeat ‘Step 8’ and say ‘Yes’ to installing the ‘Wii Shop Channel’ (otherwise the Shop Channel will not work).
MISSION COMPLETE! Good job!

F.A.Q.s
---------------------
Q. What does it do?
A. Play Wii backups on your non-modded Wii.
Q. Do all games work?
A. This is only a beta version. Not all games will work, but as of now most do.
Q: Where do I get support for it?
A: I do this in my free time. So you need to search in the internet for forums like http://gbatemp.net.
Q: Where do I get an update?
A: You will get updates at my blog: http://gbatemp.net/?act=module&module=blogs&member=WiiGator
Q: When will it support ... and when will be released?
A: I do this in my free time, so I don\'t know.
Q: How do I start a game from the disc channel?
A: You need to start Backup Launcher and press button "B" (See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGU52_ttd9o&fmt=18). The NAND flash is not changed for this feature. The support works until you go back to the Wii System Menu or reset the Wii. The feature may not work, if you have Starfall installed.
Q: Should I install an update from a game backup?
A: No. This is untested and by default disabled.
Q: I started a game from the disc channel and then I go back to the Wii
A: Backup Launcher need to be started again to launch the next game.
Q. What does patched games means and do I need it?
A. This was used in the first version. The game application was decrypted. It is not needed anymore. 1:1 backups have higher compatibility than patched games.
Q. How do I run it?
A. Seems you don\'t know anything about homebrew yet:
- You need to install http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Channel.
- You will need http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Twilight_Hack and the game "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" to install the channel.
- Create the directory apps in the root of your SD card.
- Copy Backup_Launcher and cIOS_Installer to the directory apps.
- Put the SD card into the front SD slot of your Wii.
- Then run the homebrew channel.
- First install cIOS and then run Backup Launcher.
Q. I can\'t install cIOS, I keep getting an error. How do I fix this?
A. You need to downgrade your Wii
Q. Do I need the new cIOS to play games?
A. Yes.
Q. Does Wi-Fi work?
A. Yes, some games have been tested and they work. Though we\'re not sure if all of them work. Newer games which use IOS37 seems to be slow.
Q. I have a problem, will you fix it?
A. Post it in the Backup Launcher thread and beta testers or someone can help you.
Q. Can I be a beta tester?
A. You have already something what you can test.
Q. Will this brick my Wii?
A. There is a slim chance that it will. I have installed the cIOS countless times with no problems. But just make sure you follow the onscreen instructions. It is possible that someone puts malicious software on a game disc. I suggest to run only games which are correctly signed by Nintendo! You can check this for example by running extractpartition. Don\'t install updates from a burned game disc of a different region, this was already reported to brick your Wii, when using a hardware modchip. Note: The Wii System Menu is not changed in the flash, so launching from disc channel should be safe.
Q. My game doesn\'t start. What should I do?
A1. The loader isn\'t perfect. It will probably be fixed in the next update.
A2. Try to launch it directly from Backup Launcher (First menu entry, Button "A"
.A3. Try to launch it using the disc channel (Button "B"
.A4. Check if IOS is correctly installed. The used IOS version is shown in the bottom right corner and should be IOS249. If IOS249 is not displayed, you need to install the cIOS.
A5. Try to change the hook type in the configuration.
Q. Does it load GameCube
A. No. GameCube backups are shown in the disc channel, but can\'t be started (just reboot).
Q. Does it play old games like Twilight Princess and Red Steel
A. Twilight Princess is working, Red Steel is not working. Some old games are not working.
Q. Do I need dvdx?
A. No. Just ignore it and forget that it could be in anyway related to this program.
Q. There is a online or disc update available from Nintendo, should I update it?
A. NEVER MAKE ANY UPDATE FROM NINTENDO!!! This can make the backup launcher unusable. There are better ways to do this. If you make an update, you may not be able to install this.
Q. Where does cIOS install?
A. It installs on the NAND flash of your Wii. It uses IOS249 v7.
Q. Is this easy to uninstall if I decide I dont want it?
A. Yes - most of the install files can be removed with the WAD manager - the rest just delete off the SD card.
Q. I\'m getting an error with : DVD
A. This is a burn media issue - don\'t use DVD REWRITABLES and try a different disc/drive/burn speed. You need to change the book type of DVD+R.
Q. I\'m getting an error with (game graphic): Disc eject and RTFM - why ?
A. Eject the disc and insert it again. This is a burn media issue - dont use DVD REWRITABLES and try a different disc/drive/burn speed. You need to change the book type of DVD+R.

20 HAVE BECOME IMMORTAL HERE:
This is awsome stuff. I just have one problem with the wii restarting when ever I try to start an installed channel from the main menu. I have 3.2E and Homebrew channel. Tried installing several different backup channels and a couple of PAL wad's as channels but all of them when launched from the main menu restarts the wii.
I have installed several different cIOS but nothing seems to help. Does any one have a clue why this is happening? I have searched everywhere but can not find an answer.
First I thought it was because I was running 3.0E so I upgraded to 3.2E with anyRegion Changer but this did not help. I have installed Wii Shop and IOS51 but this did not help. Please can someone help me with this?? Thanks!!!
@Scarecrow
Have you tried this one? http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=114373&st=0&p=1529161&#entry1529161
Thanks ozlo I installed the one on the link you provided and also got additional help on this site. Great info!
cool, im just another user of the same site!
glad you found help!
Thanks so much for posting this. It helped a ton. However, I burned 5 DVD+R verbatim disks (at 4x) and none of them worked, then I burned 1 DVD-R (Phillips brand, pretty darn cheap) and it worked perfectly. Its confusing because this site says to use DVD+R and another site I looked at said DVD-R. So best to try both I guess (I'm using NTSC Wii 3.3U) PS Had to downgrade from 3.4 but his guide helped perfectly! Thanks!
only use dvd-r's. Others may work but -r's will ALWAYS work unless the iso is corrupt.
yep, even with mod chips my wii has only worked fine with -R dvds, thanks for the reminder Steve!

where to get this zip?
plz help me.
@Caine Go to the part where it says
INSTRUCTIONS and down there you will see 2 links, actually you cant "see" them but hover your mouse over it and click on 1 and 2, Good day!
got everything installed correctly but i am getting disk read errors when i try and start the game. i kno its not the disk bc i did my friends yesterday and it works perfectly. the only difference was before we downgraded the 2 systems mine was at 3.4u and his was at 3.3u. any sugestions? they r both at 3.2u now
@jason Try using the menupatcher from waninkoko (google ist) if it still gives you the error then the problem could be that when you had 3.4 something is still there preventing it to load even after you downgraded your firmware... the other thing to try is to uninstall your CIOS (custom IOS)and try loading, or reinstall the CIOS and try again...
If you are still lost, go to this site: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=114373&st=0&p=1529161&#entry1529161
that is where you will find the "experts"
Good day!
oh and if you do go to the link i just gave you you will find an even more detailed step by step list of things... For example i found this link http://www.filefactory.com/file/586ccf/n/useful_rar with the IOS16 to fix my wad install problems... You have to try different stuff because we all have different wii versions (from day 1 till now) so GOOD LUCK!
well i went to the site you gave me and i cant seem to find the files or anyone to help me on there. i am a complete noob to this kind of stuff and i was actually supprised when i got my friends to work. if there is anyway you could help me set this up or a step by step process it would be great. im really giving up hope at this point. it basically works sometimes, then i reset my system, and then it wont read. any help would be appreciated.
I wanted to know on Step 3 The one to put the contents of the zip on your SD Card. Do I download everything from the link and put it on the SD Card or some of it. If its some of it can you tell me which one. Thank You
Yes, put the contents of the zip in the SD card, and of course, if its an application you must put that in a Folder you have to create named Apps, for example put the Homebrew channel in the folder named apps in your SD card and so on...
Good day!
Hi

i just burned ssbb and i try to run it on backup loader 3.0 gamma it says .. no dvd (n)
i need help!! my problem is that when i burned a game to a dvd and i put it in the wii and try to play it from the sd gamma..it reads the game but it looks gray and the screen starts to move from botton to top.. what can i do?
Try Updating To the Waninkoko Firmware 4.1 and using CIOS Rev 12b oe 13 from Waninkoko.info, all found here on this blog, and also try installing this App that is a Newer Backup Loader called NeoGamma: http://cid-839e025d3809d9b2.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/wii4everybody.com/NeoGammaR6HBC.rar
http://www.wii4everybody.com/2009/07/wiipowers-neo-gamma-backup-loader.html
if you still get disc errors, try burning at 2x or 4x at the most! and also install cIOSCORP 3.6 so that you can load from Disc Channel, and also tru the latest Neogamma backup loader from Wiipower (search in this blog) or use a USB and Wiiflow to load backups etc...
